MTP Awarded for the Largest Congress in 2013

Poland Convention Bureau of the Polish Tourist Organisation, together with the Conferences and Congresses in Poland Association, awarded Poznan International Fair for organising the largest congress in Poland last year. The award ceremony accompanied the Polish Congress Ambassadors Gala Event held on 25th September in Kielce.

Poznan International Fair was selected from among the organisers of largest events registered by PCO (Professional Congress Organiser) and with the recommendation of PCB POT. The key criteria that were taken into consideration in the competition was the number of congress participants, their structure by nationality, and the types of benefits provided by the organiser of the event.

Among the applications submitted, the greatest event turned out to be the 19th Session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change - COP19, which, by order of the Ministry of the Environment, was organised by Poznan International Fair in the autumn last year at the National Stadium in Warsaw. The event lasting 12 days brought together 12 000 visitors from all over the world.

MTP was responsible for the construction and equipment of temporary conference rooms at the stadium, comprehensive marking and arrangement of the conference area, construction and operation of computer, ICT and energy systems for the needs of the event, and for photographic services.
