ITM Poland 2013: Poland’s largest industrial trade fair came to an end

The hum of machines and conversations fell silent in the pavilions as the most extensive exhibition of industrial equipment – ITM Poland fair – closed on June 7th. Nearly 1000 exhibitors from 29 countries presented their offer in 8 exhibition halls. The exposition and events during four days of trade fair attracted 16,017 visitors from Poland and abroad as well as more than 200 journalists representing professional and national press, radio and television.

Foreign companies represented 47% of all participant in this year’s edition of ITM Poland, making it in fact a business meeting of specialists from all over the world. The trade fair included the offers of companies from, among others: Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, India, Italia Japan, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Slovakia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, Ukraine and the USA.

This year Turkey marked its presence in the Mach-Tool exhibition hall, featuring a very wide range of companies from the sheet metal forming industry in pavilion 5. Baden-Württemberg stand (pavilion 5A) in turn provided the opportunity to get acquainted with the offer of nearly 20 tool producers. Also, this was the second appearance of the Swiss Pavilion (pavilion 8) – a joint initiative by the Polish-Swiss Chamber of Commerce and Swiss Business Hub Poland.

In all, during ITM Poland trade 1200 machines and devices for metal fabrication, hydraulics and pneumatics, welding and varnishing as well as industrial robots and manipulators were demonstrated live in operation.

In addition, special events took place that attracted both professionals and journalists: Cax Innovation, workshops and live surface treatment demonstrations on the Skills Bootcamp (Poligon Umiejętności) as well as lectures and presentations in the special area Welding Academy, where latest welding technologies, welding and fusion welding of thermoplastics were shown, among other things.

No less popular were the conferences, including XI Engineering Forum (XI Forum Inżynierskie) with the leading topic of “Innovation in the industry of machinery and equipment” („Innowacje w przemyśle maszyn i urządzeń”), II Day of Mechanical Engineer (II Dzień Mechanika), metal forming seminar inaugurating the celebration of the Metal Forming Institute’s 65th anniversary, “What’s new in stainless steel?” („Co nowego w stalach nierdzewnych?”) – seminar by Association of Stainless Steel (Stowarzyszenie Stal Nierdzewna) or „Nitriding of tools and machine parts” („Azotowanie narzędzi i części maszyn”) seminar by the Institute of Precision Mechanics (Instytut Mechaniki Precyzyjnej).

During this year’s ITM Poland trade fair the 8 exhibition halls were toured by a multitude of people, curious about industrial novelties. Our visitors came not only from distanced parts of Poland, but also from Belgium, Georgia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Great Britain, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine, USA and Venezuela.

ITM Poland was honored by the presence of the President of the Republic of Poland, Mr. Bronisław Komorowski, who visited pavilion 5 and then presented the laureates of the Economic Prize of the President of the Republic of Poland with statues during a festive gala.

The trade fair was also visited by representatives of the Aviation Valley Association (Stowarzyszenie Grupy Przedsiębiorców Przemysłu Lotniczego Dolina Lotnicza).

This year’s edition of ITM Poland trade fair was accompanied by Subcontracting Bis co-operational fair (Targi Kooperacji Przemysłowej Subcontracting Bis) as well as two-day co-operational Subcontracting ITM Meetings. Jointly 95 meetings took place with nearly 50 participants.

A total sum of 16,017 visitors came to see ITM  Poland and Subcontracting fairs. Surveys conducted among the audience lead to the conclusion that over 70% of visitors attend ITM Poland each year and that it is the only fair in Poland they are interested in. More than 80% of responders were  highly satisfied with their visit to the fair and nearly 80% declared plans to return in the following year.

The next edition of ITM Poland trade fair is going to take place in June 3-6, 2014, and the next Subcontracting fair is scheduled for the end of March 2014.
