Andrzej Byrt has again been chosen a member of UFI

UFI The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry gathers leading fair organizers and fairground owners. It is an association which significantly influences upon how the international exhibition market is shaped, making for a unique discussion forum and a successful platform of cooperation, exchanging knowledge and experience of professionals within the exhibition industry around the world.

The Council has a lot of competences – it is the Council of Directors that composes the Board of UFI for the global assemblies taking place once a year. The Council sets the direction of the  organization’s actions as well as supervises the current UFI’s actions. Moreover, the Council is competent in terms of accepting a yearly budget and monitoring the way it is carried out. The other tasks involve the designing and modifications of the Internal Regulations of UFI, as well as the decisions of the membership fee within UFI.

There are 47 members in the Council. Due to regional divisions, the UFI’s total number of seats is as follows: Europe – 11 seats, Asia-Pacific – 2 seats, the Middle East – 5 seats, North America – 2 seats, South America – 2 seats.

The term for the new Council will commence immediately after the UFI’s General Assembly in Bogota, which will be taking place on October 30, 2014.
